DCR’s Leo J. Martin Ski Track, Weston, MA, January 27th, 2024, with Adaptive Sports New England. The Adaptive Sports New England 2024 Youth Para Nordic (cross-country) Skiing clinic is an introduction to Para Nordic skiing as a sit, standing skier or a skier with visual impairment.
* Learn more about the sport and further opportunities to ski, train and even compete.
* On-snow training, with all equipment provided. Coaching provided by U.S. Paralympics Nordic Team Coach, BethAnn Chamberlain.
* This clinic is for kids and adults who are interested in Nordic ski racing as a Para athlete at any level.
* No previous experience is required.
Participating youth must:
- be able to ski standing up using typical cross country ski equipment (which will be provided)
- have the endurance and focus to ski in a lesson format for at least 30-45 minutes
- independently participate in a group lesson without support from a parent or aide.
* Guides will be provided for blind skiers
