Brighton, MA, June – August 2026. Community Rowing, Inc. offers programs for people with disabilities, from recreational and therapeutic to competitive rowing. Para Open Rowing – This program is ideal for new rowers and recreational rowers with physical and/or intellectual disabilities.
* The focus is on learning and improving the rowing stroke, increasing knowledge, skills and independence in equipment set up, rigging and building experience in a variety of team and individual rowing shells. (There is no cost for military veterans.) Prior to registering for this class, participants must have completed Intake.
|* There are several Para programs offered at CRI that suit the needs of new, recreational, competitive & elite rowers with a wide range of physical and/or cognitive abilities.
* The first step of joining a CRI Para program is the intake process with our CRI Intake Specialist. Intake is required prior to participation in CRI Para programs.
* An intake may happen over three sessions (fewer if necessary) and allows the specialist to determine which program is appropriate for the athlete, and introduces the athlete to the rowing stroke before joining a group session.
