Boston, with Virtual Option, October 2 & 3, 2026, with the Federation for Children with Special Needs in Massachusetts. Virtual, 8AM-4PM, for parents/caregivers, professionals) and in-person at the Schrafft Center in Boston, 10AM-2PM, for parents/caregivers, professionals, AND youth ages 14-22.
* This two-day event is designed to help youth with disabilities and their families prepare for life after high school. Participants will learn about tools, resources, and connections to support successful transitions in education, work, and independent living.
On Friday 10/2, presentation topics include:
The Transition to Adult Healthcare
DDS services
Guardianship
Independent Living Centers
And more.
On Saturday 10/3, there will be two separate tracks:
One for parents/caregivers and professionals (a mix of presentations delivered in Chinese and through live interpretation)
One for youth (presentations delivered in English)
* Both tracks will explore topics like housing, self-advocacy, and planning tools, with time for discussion throughout the day. We will also provide a light breakfast and lunch.
