Boston, Camp Wediko. Six-week residential summer camp for children ages 8-18 struggling with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
* Summer camp experience with therapy and individual supports, providing a seasonal adventure for youth who otherwise wouldn’t have access to such a key developmental experience.
* Staff specialize in working with students who present with a wide variety of mental health struggles encompassing emotional regulation, acting-out behaviors, executive functioning and impulsivity issues, and social skills deficits.
* Campers live in cabins and spend their days in constant motion, enjoying outdoor activities and participating in periods of literacy, math and science to help them carry social and emotional skills into the classroom. Special events are also planned throughout the summer, including talent shows, themed dinners and more.
