Webinar, June 5th, 2026, with the Children’s Trust in Boston. This Family Support Friday session supports families, providers, and programs in building more inclusive, collaborative individualized education program (IEP) experiences.
* Participants will learn how to create responsive teams that honor family voice, student input, and shared expertise—going beyond compliance to foster real partnerships between families and schools.
* Through practical tools and culturally sustaining strategies, we will explore how IEPs can become relationship-centered, equitable, and more effective for the children and families we serve.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify three strategies to meaningfully include families, students, and family support staff as active, informed partners in the IEP process.
- Apply tools and techniques that help providers and programs build responsive IEP teams rooted in trust, collaboration, and cultural responsiveness.
- Evaluate current practices within their role—whether as family members, educators, or support staff—and commit to at least one change that strengthens equity and shared decision-making in IEP planning.
