hrewsbury, MA, Spring/Summer 2026, with the Shrewsbury Little League. Registration deadline is March 31, 2026. You do not have to be a Shrewsbury resident to participate. The Challenger Program is an adaptive baseball program open to any individual with an intellectual and developmental disability and physical challenges who wishes to participate. The most fundamental goal of the Challenger Program is to give everyone a chance to play.
* One of the benefits of the Challenger Program is that it encourages the use of “buddies/peer athletes” for the Challenger players. The buddies/peer athletes assist the Challenger players on the field, but encourage them to bat and make plays whenever possible. However, the buddy is always nearby to help when needed.
Important information and notes:
- Baseball age = Age of player ON August 31st, 2026. See the Little League Challenger Age Determination website for more information.
- The Little League Challenger Program accommodates players ages 5 to 18 or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school.
- The Senior League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 15 and above (no maximum age).
