Boston, MA, March 28th, 2026, with the Epilepsy Foundation of New England. Boston Medical Center, in partnership with Epilepsy Foundation New England, has secured HRSA funding to support youth aged 12-26 with epilepsy and intellectual/developmental disabilities (YEDD) as they transition from pediatric to adult care. This initative aims to improve the quality of life and outcomes for youth by addressing the complex challenges they face, including inadequate support, difficulties in healthcare transitions, and finding appropriate living conditions.
* To enhance the health and well-being of youth with epilepsy and developmental disabilities (YEDD) and their caregivers through comprehensive, community-centered support and innovative transition programs. This event aims aim to ensure that ALL YEDD/caregivers are able to connect to high-quality resources, by fostering inter-agency collaboration, and promoting self-efficacy and social support.
