The CVI Conference carves out a space where lived experience meets expertise to drive change for people with CVI.

* Keynote Speaker: Lotfi Merabet is a clinician-scientist investigating how the brain adapts to visual impairment. He serves on the Education and CVI Steering Committees of the Perkins School for the Blind, and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Carroll Center for the Blind and the National Braille Press. In 2010, he joined the clinical and research faculty of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear and his work is currently supported by the NIH/National Eye Institute. Dr. Merabet is the Frederick and Thaddeus Jakobiec Chair in Ophthalmology at Mass Eye and Ear and is leading the charge to improve diagnosis and treatment for CVI, which is the leading cause of visual impairment in children.
