Webinar, April 28th, 2026, with the National Center on Improving Dyslexia in Boston. NCIL is hosting a series of live webinar discussions on the science of reading, literacy instruction, and literacy-related policies that affect students and teachers. * The Reading the Room series brings together education stakeholders with a shared interest and expertise in improving literacy outcomes for students. * This Reading the Room panel will focus on unpacking the International Dyslexia Association’s (IDA) 2025 definition of dyslexia. Literacy leaders and reading researchers will come together to highlight similarities and differences between the 2002 and 2025 definitions. * Panelists will also share their perspectives on how the updated definition might inform conversations about assessment, instruction, and related supports for students with or at risk for dyslexia.
