Webinar, April 27th, 2026, with New England based autistic self advocate Andrew Arboe. Dive into the unique perspectives of adulthood, connection, and autism. Andrew Arboe goes over his childhood and the inspirations that shaped him into the adult he is today.
* Andrew was nonverbal and had several help thanks special education and OT that taught him how to communicate with others. While outside of school, he grew up with several video games like Pokemon that gave him a desire to seek out connections with others and adventure. It was those inspirations that shaped Andrew’s viewpoints and how he handles autism advocacy as a outsider due to lack of resources upon aging out.
* Due to being absent from the Autism scene until 2015/2016 and going the professional route, it gives him a gray take on autism. He works in the human services and education fields as he aims to better outcomes for others like him and give back to the people who helped him in the past.
* He covers his ten-year journey in this presentation with various real-life examples, photos.
* He gives advice to not just advocates, but parents as well on what he learned overall to celebrate life.
