Webinars, May – June, 2026, free. Want to understand how the state is assessing your child’s school when it comes to special education? The FCSN and DESE (Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education) explains it in plain language. They will  walk through how the state measures how well schools are serving students with disabilities—and what that means for your child
Sessions will take place on Wednesdays, April 29, May 27, and June 17 from 6:30–7:30 PM.
Topics include:
• How often students learn in inclusive classrooms
• Graduation and dropout trends for students with disabilities
* These sessions on the State Performance Plan and Annual Performance (SPP/APR) indicators and statewide data focus only on special education (not general data like test scores or attendance.
This can help families:

  • Understand how their district is doing
  • Ask better questions at IEP meetings or with their school
  • Feel more confident advocating for their child

The goal is to make this state-level information clear, relevant, and useful for families.
