Nicole Simon, Senior Behavioral Consultant, Lurie Center for Autism, is a behavior analyst that utlizes the applied behavior analysis (ABA) framework to care for children and adults with autism spectrum and related disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions and severe challenging behaviors in home, school, residential, hospital and community settings.
*Nicole will discuss: Challenging behaviors which can lead to safety concerns for individuals with autism, their siblings, their parents, and community members.
* This workshop will focus on proactive strategies to address safety at home, in the car, and in the community.
* She will also discuss how to develop a safety plan to help manage crisis situations.
