Keynote Speaker: Beth Lucas, OT, MPA, OTR, brings more than 30 years of clinical, management, and executive leadership experience across public and private mental health systems. Beth began her career as an occupational therapist on acute psychiatric units at Carney Hospital, where she developed a passion for serving individuals with complex mental health needs. Grounded in OT theory, principles, and practice, she advanced through leadership roles in program management, quality improvement, and senior administration within the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health.
* Beth has served as Deputy Commissioner of Mental Health for Massachusetts (2021- 2026), overseeing the statewide continuum of community mental health services.
* In addition, she served as the Acting Commissioner for six months, providing executive leadership during a critical period of organizational transition. .
