Holyoke, MA, March 22, 2026. The St. Patrick’s Committee of Holyoke is proud to introduce Sensory Street, a designated sensory-friendly viewing area for the 2026 Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade. This special section of the route is designed for individuals and families who prefer a calmer parade experience with reduced noise and sensory stimulation. Sensory Street reflects our ongoing commitment to making parade day welcoming and enjoyable for all members of our community.
* Sensory-friendly spaces help reduce overwhelming sights and sounds such as loud sirens, flashing lights, and sudden noises. By offering a lower-stimulus viewing option, Sensory Street allows more families, caregivers, and spectators to comfortably take part in this beloved Holyoke tradition.Wind-down zone begins: Starts at Walnut Street.
Open to Everyone – Sensory Street is open to all spectators — no reservations or special passes are required. It simply offers a quieter viewing option while preserving the celebratory spirit of the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade.
*Within Sensory Street:
• No emergency or flashing lights
• No sirens or amplified alarms
• Bands will feature strings only (no percussion or brass)
• Reduced loud or sudden vehicle noises
• Additional parade monitors and security personnel will be present to help maintain the sensory-friendly environment.
