Webinar, September 30, 2026, with McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA. Understanding ADHD in Adults: Signs, Diagnosis, and Strategies. Many adults living with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) spend years wondering why certain tasks seem harder than they should. Challenges with organization, time management, focus, procrastination, emotional regulation, or follow-through are often misunderstood as laziness, lack of motivation, or personal failure—when ADHD may be playing a significant role.
Because ADHD can present differently in adults than it does in children, many individuals remain undiagnosed or misunderstood. Some are told they are disorganized, careless, unmotivated, or simply not trying hard enough. Others develop coping strategies that mask symptoms while increasing stress, burnout, and frustration.
