Somerville, MA, June 28th & 29th, with the Arts at the Armory. The Sunday June 29th performance features a family centered activity for children, with and without disabilities, to support caregivers. Welcome to Holland!?, intertwines flamenco, poetry, humor, and film, celebrating the incredible strength for caregivers.
* Welcome to Holland?! challenges stereotypes about motherhood and disability, shedding light on the diverse experiences of caregivers and non-traditional families. This piece has been developed by Laura Sanchez, award winning flamenco artist and mother of two, one with multiple disabilities and medical complexities as part of her personal self care journey.
* Theater Accessibility – the first floor of the Armory is ADA accessible. There is an elevator that can be used to access the second floor.
* The venue can accommodate most priority seating requests. Event staff can assist you with priority seating on the day of an event. If a seating request is made on the day of an event, staff will do everything they can to accommodate.
* The venue offers four Assisted Listening Devices for patrons to use during Performance Hall events.
* Requests for captioning or ASL interpretation: the venue needs a written request for captioning/ASL services 30 days prior to an event. Please contact eventmanager@artsatthearmory.org to submit a request.
* Service animals and emotional support animals allowed (with documentation).
* If an event is using strobe lights and/or visual effects, event staff will post signage at the venue’s entrance.
